i painted this over a course of around 3 months- it would have taken longer but i stayed up all night finishing it one day to get it done in time for an event. alhamdulilah with the way it turned out! i am so in love with the patterns of the building and the details. i poured my heart and soul into this piece. the calligraphy here isn’t the original calligraphy as seen on the dome of the rock- instead i chose Al Imran 3:169. this verse provides comfort in face of adversity. knowing that those we lost to war have actually truly won in the eyes of Allah brings about a sense of peace and comfort. i pray sincerely that we are able to witness a free and peaceful palestine in our life time- inshaAllah.

sadly, this didn’t sell at that event but i trusted Allah had better plans for it and alhamdulilah i was granted the opportunity to donate it to be auctioned at an event, where it eventually found its new home. may Allah accept our honest and sincere efforts for this cause, ameeen!
